	Poll Reveals Depth of Duke-UNC Rivalry 02/08/10 06:01PM By Ben Gellman WCHL Reporter You’d think it’d be hard to find a UNC fan who wouldn’t swear that they downright loathe the Duke Blue Devils. Yet Tom Jensen of Public Policy Polling says a new poll shows that it’s far from impossible. The hardcore fans do get a little more active about the rivalry, though. Jensen says 42% of those considering themselves Blue Devil die-hards said they hated the Tar Heels, while 29% of Carolina’s craziest fans felt the same way about Duke. However, Jensen says there’s a good reason that we think the hatred is so deep. But don’t go thinking the rivalry has gotten all buddy-buddy. Jensen says his own loyalties made him part of the smaller group in this survey. The next chapter in the storied rivalry takes place Wednesday night.
