A Nightmare In Durham

Even after suffering their most decisive loss ever against Duke in Durham, Roy Williams doesn’t want his team to forget about it.

Fourth-ranked Duke stomped the Tar Heels 82-50 Saturday night in Cameron Indoor Stadium, the second-most lopsided Blue Devil victory in the history of the series. Carolina’s 50 points were the lowest scored in the Roy Williams era.

For the first time ever, UNC will play on a Thursday in the ACC Tournament. They face Georgia Tech, another team that’s underachieved this year.

The frustration over a 16-15 regular season was apparent in Williams’ voice on Saturday.

UNC and Georgia Tech will square off Thursday night at 7 o’clock. The winner faces second-seeded Maryland on Friday. You can hear all eleven games of the ACC Tournament starting Thursday right here on 1360 WCHL.
